Mothers Day Mayhem

Well, not really but it was too long to post on scrapping trends..
Our day was actually two. We drove down to Missoula to spend it with DD. So, DH, DS and the two dogs took the two hour drive down. We went an alternative route thru "The Swan". different valley but not as much road construction as our usual route which has five huge projects going on at the same time...grrrrr... Anyway we got down there and settled in. Some of you know that DD is a Pastry Chef. Well, after we ate her delicious dinner she kept opening containers and soon there were seven different kinds of dessert there for us to try... wow.. sooooo full... but it didnt stop us from getting candy and eating it at the movies.. We saw MI3...it was action packed...

Today we had fresh Krispie Kreme donuts and lattes for breakfast.. oh baby!!!!!
Now, I have been a Mom for 22 years and have varied Moms day celebrations. From the first one where I celebrated with a 3 month old..at that point in parenting both DH and I were so worried we would do "something wrong"...other MDays were spent with a group of Brownie Scouts on an overnight trip. Todays MDay was supposed to be low key... but let me tell you I should get the award for perseverience. We were walking around by some baseball fields giving the dogs a good run and gravity took over. I slipped on a rock and down I went...ripped my capris and took several chunks out of my knee( I was going to post apic but it didnt do it justice). I was more upset that i ruined my pants!!! But, did that stop me....???? NOOOOOO... we got in the car, i refused to go back to the apt., I rolled up my capris to cover the rip and we proceeded on to the NEW scrapbook store in Missoula!!!!
Both my kids have called Mothers Day slave labor day.. We have always done an outside project on this day.. they cant refuse or fuss....its MY day!!! So, today I chose to visit the store that is new to me.... So, there I was, with a bloody knee, ripped pants, dusty legs and I was picking out paper so my DS could cut them out on the Sizzix for me!!!!I wish i had my camera with me...hehe....

anyway... we returned to the apt... ate some more and then drove back up here..great day for me, except for the knew...cut off the flap of skin and moved on..

The pic is of DS, me and DD(along with Bugs the dog). I got a sponge bob bandaide on the knee and it made it all better!!
